WEEK OF 9/5/11

PLEASE SEE STUDENT'S ASSIGNMENT PAD FOR DAILY HOMEWORK.  PARENTS SHOULD SIGN ASSIGNMENT PAD DAILY.



FOURTH GRADE:

Language Arts - Students will be identifying sentences, types of sentenes, and subjects and predicates of sentences for the next two weeks.  They will have a TEST Friday, September 16th on skills covered on pages 32-39.

Spelling - Students will be working on Lesson 2 with additional words (adapt, erupt, latitude, longitude, and satellite).  They will have a TEST Thursday, September 15th.

Social Studies - Students will be focusing on Georgraphy, and they will have a TEST Tuesday, September 13th on Chapter 1.


FIFTH GRADE:

Language Arts - Students will be identifying sentences, types of sentenes, and subjects and predicates of sentences for the next two weeks.  They will have a TEST Friday, September 16th on skills covered on pages 32-41.

Spelling - Students will be working on PB pages 9-11 with additional words (bacteria, chloraplast, minerals, nucleus, and plateau).  They will have a TEST Friday, September 9th.


SIXTH GRADE:

Language Arts - Students will be identifying sentences, types of sentenes, and simple subjects of sentences for the next two weeks.  They will have a TEST Thursday, September 15th on skills covered on pages 316-320 Excercises 1-4.

Spelling  - Students will be working on PB pages 9-11 with additional words (homeostasis, hypothesis, organism, response, and stimulus).  They will have a TEST Friday, September 9th.


BERMUDA SHORTS DAY:   Friday, 9/9...must be knee length.

QSP TURN IN DATES:  9/1, 9/8, & 9/15
Students have received packets for the PTA fundraiser.  Each student is asked to sell a minimum of $75.  However, students who sell at least $100 will attend a special party with the to 25 sellers qualify to play in the Cash Games.  Go to QSP.com for more information.

B Team at St. Francis (Hilton Head) Thursday, 9/8 at 4 p.m.

FOOTBALL:
Middle School will host Dorchester at THA Thursday, 9/8 at 6 p.m.
Varsity Rebals will travel to  Northwood Academy (Charleston) Friday, 9/9 at 7:30 p.m.
