Week of 8/19/13

We are off to a great start to what I anticipate will be an awesome year!  Please take note of the following:

*Parents are reminded to sign assignment pads daily verifying that your child has complete his/her homework.  This is also where teachers will communicate short messages to parents when needed.

*Students have received many papers to be filled out and returned since our first day last week.  I would like to draw your attention to the following:

 

• Student handbooks included 3 sheets to be completed and returned by 8/23.
• Bottom portion of procedures for student drop off and pick up should be signed and returned as soon as possible.
• Student information sheets should be completed (both sides) and returned as soon as possible
• Reservations (bottom portion of letter) for Parent Night should be completed and returned by Wed., Aug. 21st
• Record of Textbook Damages should be completed, signed, dated, and returned right away.  This form will be kept on file so that there is a documented record of the condition of student books to reference at the end of the year when books are collected.  A form should be completed for ALL math and language arts books as well as 4th grade reading and social studies books.
• Little Rebel forms went home today, and should be returned with$18 by Mon., Aug. 26th.

*We are working on classroom procedures and routines this week.  Homework will be light this week and should be written in assignment pads where I will sign to verify the accuracy.  I ask that you use this week to get accustomed to signing assignment pads daily.  Beginning next week, daily homework assignments will be available on this site, but should also be written in assignment pads daily.
